The Chichester Harbour Trust has published its annual review for 2024, highlighting the work that it has been doing through the year to reverse the environmental decline in Chichester Harbour National Landscape.
The transformation of Marina Farm near Emsworth showcases just what the Trust can do to draw in funding to successfully restore brownfield sites to countryside, within the protected landscape.
Nick Backhouse, Chair of the Chichester Harbour Trust said “I am enjoying embracing the chairman’s role and am excited to take the next steps in the Trust’s journey, looking ahead to the future opportunities and challenges facing the Harbour. The Trust is uniquely placed to acquire land and return it to nature – for the benefit of wildlife and local communities.”
The work of the Trust depends entirely on the commitment of our supporting community; donors, trustees, patrons and partners, who allow us to fulfil our potential in protecting this unique coastal environment for future generations to enjoy. Our Fighting Fund campaign is still live and we are grateful for all donations that we receive to help us deliver our aims in the coming years.
